Title:

Consider Purchase Agreement between Casey's General Store and the Ramsey HRA

Purpose/Background:

The purpose of this case is to review an amended Purchase Agreement between the City of Ramsey HRA and Casey's General Store. Casey's is proposing the development of a convenience retail store at the SW intersection of Ramsey Blvd. and Sunwood Dr. NW. This project is estimated to require 1.37 acres.

At the May 13th HRA meeting, the HRA directed Staff to continue Purchase Agreement negotiations with a number of amendment suggestions. Staff and the City Attorney have delivered these revisions to Casey's and is awaiting response. These revisions included verbiage regarding access to the site, site design issues, earnest money and others.

Staff anticipates presenting an amended Purchase Agreement from Casey's to the HRA for review based upon the feedback provided at the May 13th meeting.

Observations/Alternatives:

Alternative #1: Review and authorize entering into a Purchase Agreement between Casey's General Store and the Ramsey HRA with the following revisions, if any, pending final approval by the City Attorney: _________________

Alternative #2: Review and adjust with the following revisions with the Purchase Agreement to be brought back to the HRA for final review at a later date: _________________

Recommendation:

Staff is recommending Alternative #1: Review and approve the Purchase Agreement between Casey's General Store and the Ramsey HRA with the following adjustments, if any: _________________
 

Action:

Motion to enter into a Purchase Agreement between Casey's General Store and the Ramsey HRA with the following adjustments, if any, with final approval by the City Attorney: _________________
