Purpose:
The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution 14-05-098 approving and authorizing execution of Cooperative Construction Agreement #04044 for the Riverdale Drive Extension/Reconstruction project as requested by the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).  Copies of the agreement, the transmittal letter and the supporting resolution are attached to this case.
 
Background:
After the City adopts Resolution 14-05-098 and signs the draft agreements, the draft agreements and a copy of the resolution will be returned to MnDOT for execution.  An executed copy of the agreement will be returned to the City.
 
Cooperative Construction Agreement #04044 is an agreement between the City of Ramsey and the State of Minnesota that will allow the State to provide payment to the City of Ramsey for the State’s share of the costs for the Riverdale Drive Extension/Reconstruction project related to the extension of Riverdale Drive from east of Alpaca Street to Traprock Street, closing the right-in/out access to TH 10 from Alpaca Street, and revising the full access intersection of TH 10 and Traprock Street to a 3/4 access intersection.

No notifications are required.

Observations:
A contract for this project cannot be awarded before this agreement is executed.  MnDOT therefore requests that the City adopt Resolution 14-05-098, sign the draft agreements, and return the signed agreements and a copy of the resolution to MnDOT for execution as soon as possible.
