Business of the Year

The purpose of this case is to nominate the 2014 Business of the Year, an annual nomination made by the EDA. The Business of the Year is selected from a list of 3-5 businesses. These businesses have and had been identified by Staff and EDA Commissioners in previous years.

The Business of the Year designation is an honorable one. The EDA strives to thank Ramsey businesses for their investment and involvement in the City of Ramsey, and this is one way the EDA is able to do that. The Business of the Year will be provided exhibitor space at the highly regarded "Draw Event Series" on August 7th. Rubber Soul will be playing that evening-- a premier Beatles tribute band. In addition, the selected business is highlighted in various media forms distributed by the City (Ramsey Resident, Facebook, the Weekly Update, etc.). Lastly, the Business of the Year is formally presented at the Ramsey EDA Business Appreciation Golf Tournament and the Fall Networking Event.
 

Staff recommends the EDA vote on one (1) business to be nominated as the Business of the Year based on EDA Commissioner discussion at the meeting, and the provided list (attached).
