Title
Adopt Resolution #14-07-125 Accepting Donation From Centerpoint Energy and Resolution #14-07-124 Accepting Donation From Ramsey Rotary
Purpose/Background:
Purpose: Minnesota Statute 465.03 entitled Gifts to Municipalities states that any city, county, school district or town may accept a grant or devise of real or personal property and maintain such property for the benefit of its citizens in accordance with the terms described by the donor. Every such acceptance shall be by resolution of the governing body adopted by two-thirds of its members.
At the June 24, 2014, the City Council accepted two donations from Centerpoint Energy in the amount of $2,475 to be used to fund pagers in the fire department and $1,500 from Ramsey Rotary as a donation towards the Draw Park restroom construction.
The resolutions authorizing acceptance of the grants were not included in the June 24, 2014 agenda and are being placed on the July 8, 2014 Consent Agenda for adoption.

Motion for City Council to adopt Resolution #14-07-125 accepting $2,475 from Centerpoint Energy and adopt Resolution #14-07-124 accepting $1,500 from Ramsey Rotary
