Information
Title:
PUBLIC HEARING: Consider Ordinance Amendments Related to Home Occupation Standards
Purpose/Background:
Staff had intended to bring forward proposed revisions to Section 117-351 (Home Occupations) for consideration and published a Notice of Public Hearing as to not lose a potential opportunity to have a draft Ordinance if said Ordinance were to be ready. The amendments were to address various inconsistencies in the current ordinance and to address concerns that have been raised during some of the more recent requests that have been reviewed. In addition to general seasonal workload and the length of this agenda, Staff was unable to complete the intended revisions for the August meeting and is seeking to have the public hearing continued to a future meeting to complete the draft revisions. By continuing the Public Hearing, Staff will be able to submit a complete Ordinance for Planning Commission review at a future date.
Notification:
The Public Hearing Notice for the proposed text amendment was published in the Anoka County Union Herald. Staff will republish a new Public Hearing Notice prior to bringing forward the ordinance amendment.
Observations/Alternatives:
Funding Source:
The ordinance revisions are being handled under normal staff duties.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends continuing the Public Hearing to a future meeting date.
Action:
Motion to continue the Public Hearing to a future meeting date.
