Title
Adopt Resolution #15-07-189 Approving Name Change of Country Club Hills to Woodlands and Re-Affirming Final Plat Approval; Case of US Home Corporation, doing business as Lennar Homes
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this case is to adopt a resolution formally accepting the name change of Country Club Hills to Woodlands. This resolution is necessary in order to allow the Plat to be recorded.
Notification:
Notification is not required.
Observations/Alternatives:
On September 9, 2014, the City Council approved a plat to be known as Country Club Hills to Greatland Homes. In early 2015, Greatland Homes sold the project to Lennar Homes. At that time, Lennar Homes chose to change the name of the project to Woodlands. In order for the Plat to be properly recorded, the City must pass a resolution approving the name change of the Plat. Said resolution is offered to the City Council for consideration.
Funding Source:
All costs associated with processing the request are the responsibility of the Applicant.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution #15-07-189.
Action:
Motion to adopt Resolution #15-07-189 approving name change of Country Club Hills to Woodlands and re-affirming Final Plat Approval.
