Recognize Mr. Wayne Jeffrey for His Years of Service to the Community and as a Business Owner in the City of Ramsey

Purpose:  The purpose of this presentation is to recognize Mr. Wayne Jeffrey, who has served as a pharmacist in the City of Ramsey area for over 35 years and was a Ramsey business owner for 26 of those 35 years.

Background:  Wayne Jeffrey has retired after more than 35 years of service as a pharmacist in the City of Ramsey.  Mr. Jeffrey started as a pharmacist at the Ramsey Drug Store and eventually purchased it, becoming a Ramsey business owner who grew his patient base to over 25,000, as well as grew his number of employees.  The Council would like to recognize Mr. Jeffrey for his years of service and his years as a successful Ramsey business owner.  

Attached to this presentation report is an article from The Anoka County Union Herald re Wayne Jeffrey and his years of service.  Also attached is the Proclamation Mayor Strommen will present to Mr. Jeffrey on behalf of the Ramsey City Council.

A resolution is on the Consent Agenda this evening for adoption recognizing Mr. Jeffrey as well.
