Title

Adopt Resolution #15-10-260 Vacating Easement on Outlot C, ALPINE WOODS; Case of Oakwood Land Development, Inc.

Purpose/Background:

The purpose of this case to consider adoption of Resolution #15-10-260 vacating easements on Outlot C, ALPINE WOODS. Necessary easements will be dedicated on a new plat known as ALPINE WOODS THIRD ADDITION. As drafted, the vacation would not become effective until the plat known as ALPINE WOODS THIRD ADDITION is recorded. The intent of this case is to vacate existing easements to avoid overlap and eliminate unneeded easements.

Notification:

Notification was provided as part of the approval process for ALPINE WOODS THIRD ADDITION.

Observations/Alternatives:

Alternative #1 - Vacate Easements. The necessary drainage and utility easements will be dedicated to the public as part of recording of ALPINE WOODS THIRD ADDITION. Additionally, the temporary easement for cul-de-sac purposes will be replaced by a permanent right-of-way. Staff sees this as an enhancement of the current conditions for the City.

Funding Source:

All costs associated with processing the Application are the responsibility of the Applicant.

Recommendation:

Staff recommends approval of Resolution #15-10-260.

Action:

Motion to adopt Resolution #15-10-260.
