Title:
Review Community Programs for Homeless and Family Services
Purpose/Background:
Purpose: To review non-profit programs for homeless and family services.
Background: To gather information from providers of services to the homeless as well as family services to our local population. The purpose of this is not to review or determine budget allocations. However, the City does regularly receive funding requests from various social service organizations. This discussion is to seek a better understanding and context for our community's social services, the needs of the population being served, and the role of the city in meeting the social service needs of the community. The current proposed 2016 budget includes a $3,000 allocation to Family Service based upon a request made by this organization.
Three local organization have been invited to attend this work session; namely, Family Promise, Hope 4 Youth, and Stepping Stone. Each organization was sent the following conversation points:

- How many residents of Ramsey receive the service provided by the organization?
- How is the organization funded?
- How does the organization collaborate with other public, private, and non-profit organizations to achieve the mission?
