Staff Updates on Improvement Projects/Items of Interest
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this case is to update the Committee on various active and proposed improvement projects within the City, and on other items of interest to the Committee. Below are lists of the various improvement projects and items of interest that the Committee will be updated on.

- Signal work continues
- All remaining work resumes next week
- Speed limit restriction signs will be reinstalled until project completion
- Project completion in late May
- Business Park 95 Regional Stormwater Pond Improvements
- Surveying site
- Reviewing options for cost savings
- Plans should be complete in April
- Summer / fall construction (dry season)
- Andrie Street & 164th Lane Reconstruction
- Plans and specs are nearly complete
- State Aid to review plans and specs mid-March / early April
- Project update letters will soon be mailed to residents
- March 16th - Private utilities coordination meeting
- March 22nd - Council to consider approving No Parking Resolution
- April 12th - Council to consider approving plans and specs & authorize ads for bids
- May 24th - Council to consider accepting bids & awarding construction contract
- Construction begins early June 2016

- Sunwood Drive - Sunfish Lake Blvd. to bridge between 147th Ln & Krypton St (+/- 0.8 mile)
- March 22nd - Council to consider accepting Feasibility Report & ordering Public Hearing for April 12th
- April 12th - Council to conduct Public Hearing & authorize plans and specs
- June 14th - Council to consider approving plans and specs & authorize ads for bids
- July 26th - Council to consider accepting bids & awarding construction contract
- Construction begins early August
- Project complete mid-September
- 2016 Sealcoat Project
- May 10th - Council to consider approving plans and specs & authorize ads for bids
- June 14th - Council to consider accepting bids & awarding construction contract

- Riverdale Drive Extension - Traprock St. to Ramsey Blvd.
- Plans and specs in progress
- Working with Anoka Parks for mutually beneficial acquisition of 5.3 acres roadway right-of-way
- TH 47 Crosswalk Improvements @ Nowthen Blvd / Xkimo Street
- Master Partnership Contract #1001234 executed
- TH 47 trail LUP required by MnDOT...in progress
- Staff completed concrete, striping and traffic control plans
- MnDOT working on signal system revision plans
- Work to occur this spring, unless significant savings are available if pairing w/ MnDOT project
- Sunwood Drive Concrete Pavement Improvements
- Concrete pavement needs repairs in numerous areas, especially in crosswalks
- Work not budgeted in 2016
- Weighing options for temporary crosswalk repairs in 2016
- Project proposed for 2017
- Sunwood Drive Striping Improvements
