Title:
Consider Revised Survey for The COR Development Plan
Purpose/Background:
In 2015, the City Council and Planning Commission directed Staff to prepare a survey for Boards and Commissions related to The COR Development Plan. A component of that overview was to interview area stakeholders and professional consultants contracted by the City related to land use issues. Based on these preliminary discussions with stakeholders and professionals, Staff would like to propose a revised format to the Boards and Commissions survey for ease of read and to ensure the proper questions are being asked in order to obtain meaningful feedback. Please note, that Staff believes that it will take a couple of iterations to drill down into the level of detail originally discussed.

Notification:
Notification is not required.
Observations/Alternatives:
The revised survey format attempts to provide a little more background on the vision as currently described in the Comprehensive Plan (overall community vision) as well as the Development Plan/Framework for The COR. The intent is to establish a better baseline to start the survey. Also, the proposed revision attempts to follow a more logical pattern of the development plan overview and includes hyperlinks to project webpages with graphics to better describe the sub-district being analyzed.
Funding Source:
This case is being prepared as part of normal Staff duties.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of the revised survey format for The COR Development Plan.
Action:
Motion to recommend that the City Council approve the revised survey format for The COR Development Plan.
