Title:
Update on Upcoming 2016 EDA Events
Purpose/Background:
Annually, the Ramsey EDA sponsors a Business Appreciation Golf Tournament and a Business Networking Event. The purpose of these events is to bring together local businesses, offer an opportunity for business-to-business networking, and provide an effective channel of communication between the City and the local business community.

Business Appreciation Golf Tournament:
- Tuesday, Aug. 16, 10:00 am at The Links at Northfork Golf Course
- The Business Appreciation Day begins with a golf tournament and concludes with a dinner and the induction of a Ramsey Business of the Year.
- $99= golf fee, $35= dinner only tickets, $150= hole sponsorship
- Proposed date: Thursday, Nov. 17, 8:00 am – 9:30 am
- The Business Networking Event is an opportunity for local businesses to network over breakfast and enjoy a keynote speaker.
- Admission is free.
- Keynote Speaker/ Theme: staff is proposing the EDA consider focusing on workforce demographics. Specifically, Millennials, and their impact on workforce, and how to work with Millennials. Staff could recruit a demographer from the State to be a keynote speaker. If the EDA has any initial input on theme/ speakers, staff would ask for that feedback now.

EDA Miscellaneous Operating Supply 9230.6249 - w 923002 and w 923003
$4,000 allocation from EDA for each event.
