Report from Public Works Committee dated September 20, 2016.
1.   Consider Removal of Abandoned Garage at 16600 Highway 47: Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee to recommend that the City Council approve a contract with Sauter and Sons for the removal of the garage located at 16600 Highway 47 for the quoted price of $4,250.

 

The Public Works Committee held its regular meeting on September 20, 2016 and discussed the following case:
1. Staff reviewed in the report that the garage at 16600 Highway 47 has been sitting vacant for several years. The City has on several occasions needed to repair the boards on the building due to vandalism. It has been decided there is no real purpose or need for this garage any longer and the staff recommendation is to remove it. The Public Works Superintendent advertised for demolition of this building and received two outside bids for this project.  Staff recommends accepting the bid of Sauter and Sons for $4,250.  Motion to ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee to recommend that the City Council approve a contract with Sauter and Sons for the removal of the garage located at 16600 Highway 47 for the quoted price of $4,250.
