Title:
Introduce Ordinance #16-12: Amending Chapter 2 Division 2 - Purchasing and Repealing and Replacing Sections 2-272 Through 2-278 of the Ramsey City Code
Purpose/Background:
At the October 11, 2016 City Council work session, an updated purchasing policy was presented that updated the current bidding laws, defined emergency purchases, authorized usage of a city credit card, outlined public purpose expenditures and increased the city's capitalization threshold from $5,000 to $10,000.
City Council made no recommendations or changes to those presented and staff was directed to bring to City Council for formal adoption.
The purchasing policy with requested amendments will be brought for final ordinance adoption at the meeting of November 7, 2016.
