Discussion Regarding the 2017-2018 Union Contract Negotiations for LELS-Patrol and LELS-Sergeants (Portions of the Discussion May be Closed to the Public)
 

Staff have held several meetings with both groups and have reached a tentative agreement with LELS Patrol and LELS Sergeants.   Staff will provide the City Council with a detailed update.    

Per Minnesota Statutes 13D.03, which states: "The governing body of a public employer may by a majority vote in a public meeting decide to hold a closed meeting to consider strategy for labor negotiations, including negotiation strategies or developments or discussion and review of labor negotiation proposals, conducted pursuant to sections 179A.01 to 179A.25" 

Staff is requesting that the City Council go into closed session to discuss the City's labor negotiations strategy and tentative agreements pertaining to LELS-Patrol and LELS-Sergeants labor agreements covering January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2018.    A case to approve or deny the 2017-2018 contracts is on the regular agenda later this evening.
