The COR Key Development and Design Standard Exercise

Purpose/Background:

Staff recommends that the Planning Commission discuss these key design topics. These talking points are being suggested based on previous Planning Commission discussions.
  1. Single-family home design
    1. How should we define what a front porch is?
    2. Is a split entry home an acceptable design?
    3. Should we be requiring more brick and stone of the front facade?
    4. Should we be restricting the size of garages?
  2. Townhome design
    1. Same as above.
    2. Should we be requiring more brick and stone?
    3. Should we be specifying acceptable color palettes?
  3. Apartment design
    1. Should we be requiring more brick and stone?
    2. Should we be specifying acceptable color palettes?
  4. Retail building design components
    1. Based on discussion.
  5. Office building design components
    1. Based on discussion.
