Receive Progress Report on The COR Development Plan Update

The purpose of this case is to keep the City Council in the loop on activities of the Planning Commission related to The COR Development Plan Update. The Commission has been focused on two (2) deliverables in this stage.

1. Vision Statement
2. Land Use Map

Working Drafts of these two (2) documents are attached. While Staff is not seeking formal action, feedback on general direction is welcome and will help Staff prepare for future Planning Commission Work Sessions.

The next Planning Commission work session is March 2.  Staff will route Council feedback and input from tonight's meeting to the Planning Commission as part of their Work Session.  The March 2 Work Session will focus on finalizing a Land Use Map for consideration and drafting key development and design standards, such as parking, densities, architectural requirements, etc. The Planning Commission plans to finalize a Policy Framework for recommendation to the City Council at their April Meeting, with formal consideration by the City Council at the end of April or early May.

Completion of this interim step will then kick off the System Plan Studies and Project Pro Forma steps.
