Receive Progress Report on Comprehensive Plan Update

The purpose of this case is to receive a brief update on the status of the Comprehensive Plan Update. Details on the City's existing Comprehensive Plan and 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update can be found online at www.cityoframsey.com/comprehensiveplan or upon request.

↵The Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee has held three (3) Committee Meetings. The City hosted the first of several workshops as a Kick Off Meeting on Monday, January 27, 2017. Notes from that Workshop are attached for review.

The Steering Committee will be meeting next on Monday, March 13 at 5:30 p.m. to prepare for the next Public Workshop (Transportation Plan; Parks and Recreation Plan) as well as a plan for a presence at the April 1 EDA Spring Business Expo and The Draw Summer Event Series.

The Steering Committee has also set up a Facebook Page as a communication tool at www.facebook.com/ramsey2040. This page has several photos from the Kick Off Meeting.

Preparation for the Comprehensive Plan is funded primarily through the City's General Fund. The City also secured a Planning Grant in the amount of $32,000 from the Metropolitan Council.
