Title:
City Board and Commission Interviews
Purpose/Background:
The City conducts annual board and commission interviews every March for specific seats that are vacant and for terms that are set to expire on March 31, with new terms beginning on April 1. Interviews will begin at 5:30 p.m. and run through approximately 6:50 p.m. At 7:00 p.m., as per the normal meeting schedule, the Mayor and Council members will conduct the regular meeting in the Council Chambers. After the regular meeting, the Mayor and Councilmembers will resume the work-session in order to finish the last interviews of the evening.
The Mayor and Councilmembers will be considering several new applicants and incumbents for appointment or reappointment to new terms which begin on April 1. Per Minnesota Statue 469.095 (attached), the Mayor appoints members to the Economic Development Authority.
