Title:
Review Oakwood Development Concept (Levin Property)
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this case is to review a concept proposed by Oakwood Development for a property north of Estates of Silver Oaks located along Highway 47. This is for presentation and discussion only. Staff has not completed an official review. This project would require a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to expand the Metropolitan Urban Service Area (MUSA). Staff is awaiting final decision by the Metropolitan Council on two similar amendments (Brookfield 8th Addition; Woodlands 4th Addition) to see how that might impact this request.

Observations/Alternatives:
This is an opportunity for Oakwood Development to present to the Planning Commission prior to an official submittal and discuss key sticking points. A more robust review process will follow, with public comment.
Funding Source:
This case is being handled as part of normal Staff duties.
