Title:
Proclamation Declaring October 2017 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Purpose/Background:
Purpose: To proclaim October 2017 as domestic violence awareness month.
Background: At the request of the Alexandra House, the City Council will consider a resolution on their Consent Agenda this evening proclaiming October 2017 Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Mayor Strommen will read the proclamation at this time. The proclamation is attached.
A signed proclamation will be mailed to the Alexandra House for display at their annual Walk for Hope: Steps to End Domestic and Sexual Violence, which takes place on Saturday, September 30, at Bunker Hills Regional Park in Andover.
