Title
Adopt Resolution #18-232 to Hire Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this case is to seek City Council approval to hire Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers for the Public Works Department.
The process to fill these positions includes an open competitive recruitment, interviews, background checks, pre-employment testing, City Council approval to hire and on-boarding. As a result, staff selected Mr. Lucas Phelps, Mr. Gerald Byykkonen, Mr. Lawrence Nelson, Mr. Cullin Kruse, Mr. Keith Noreen, and Mr. Thomas Pagel.

Funding Source:
The funding required to fill the Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers is included in the 2018 / 2019 budget.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends hiring hiring the following Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers: Mr. Lucas Phelps, Mr. Gerald Byykkonen, Mr. Lawrence Nelson, Mr. Cullin Kruse, Mr. Keith Noreen, and Mr. Thomas Pagel at $13.00 per hour, effective on or near October 31, 2018.
Action:
Motion to adopt resolution #18-232 hiring the following Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers: Mr. Lucas Phelps, Mr. Gerald Byykkonen, Mr. Lawrence Nelson, Mr. Cullin Kruse, Mr. Keith Noreen, and Mr. Thomas Pagel at $13.00 per hour, effective on or near October 31, 2018.
