Title

Adopt Resolution #19-040 Authorizing the Request and Use of HRA Funds for Anoka County Regional Economic Development Activities

Purpose/Background:

The City of Ramsey approved entering into a Memorandum of Understanding and Voluntary Cost Share Agreement with Anoka County Regional Economic Development Partnership on October 23, 2018.  Prior to that, the City of Ramsey agreed to participate in a study administrated by Connexus Energy that served as the foundation for creation of the regional economic development initiative (Ady Report).  Costs associated with this regional economic development intiative are eligible to be paid for from the City's portion of the Anoka County HRA levy.

Observations/Alternatives:

The City of Ramsey has received invoices for activities relating to the creation and operation of the Anoka County Regional Economic Development intitative. These expanses can be paid with the City's HRA dollars. The 2018 Invoice is for $1,500 and the 2019 Invoice is for $1,506.

Funding Source:

City of Ramsey's Anoka County HRA Funds.

Recommendation:

Staff recommends adoption of Resolution #19-040 Authorizing the Request and Use of HRA Funds for Anoka County Regional Economic Development Activities.

Action:

Motion to Adopt Resolution #19-040 Authorizing the Request and Use of HRA Funds for Anoka County Regional Economic Development Activities.
