Review of Current Strategic Plan

The City's Strategic Plan is reviewed, amended as needed and approved on an annual basis.  A Council/Staff session to review the City's Strategic Plan has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 19.  The purpose of this agenda item is to offer a review of the current strategic planning document that will be presented for review on the 19th. 

Attached for your review is a summary of the city’s strategic plan, outlining the current values, vision, mission, objectives, strategies, and actions that comprise the plan.   The current plan incorporates relevant  portions of the city’s comprehensive plan.  Otherwise, the foundational objectives have been constant the last 5-6 years.  Part of the current review will be identifying what revisions need to be made at the different levels of the strategic plan in order to develop a common direction for the organization.

Strategies that are identified as part of the plan, and require additional financial resources, are reviewed as part of annual budget and Capital Improvement Plans discussions.
