Title
Approve Amending the Council Meetings Scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, 2019.
Purpose/Background:
Purpose: To reschedule Council meetings that were inadvertently scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, 2019, the same evening of Night to Unite.
Background: At the Tuesday, June 11, 2019 meeting, staff discussed the need to reschedule the Tuesday, August 13, 2019 meetings due to the special general election scheduled for that evening. Inadvertently, the Council meetings were scheduled for the same evening of Night to Unite.
Night to Unite is an important event in the City. In order for the City Council and staff to participate in Night to Unite, staff is recommending rescheduling the Council meetings so that they occur on Monday, August 12, 2019.

Notification:
According to State Statute 204C.03, no City meetings are allowed to be held during the times the polling locations are open for voting.
All meeting changes will be noticed with the Official Posting of the Meeting Schedule on the Posting Board in the lobby of the Municipal Center, as well as on the City's website.

Recommendation:
To direct staff to reschedule the first City Council and Work Session meetings in August to Monday, August 12, 2019.
Action:
Direct staff to reschedule the first City Council and Work Session meetings in August to Monday, August 12, 2019, at the regular times of 7:00 pm and 5:30 pm, respectively.
