Presentation from Anoka County Recycling and Resource Solutions for Ramsey Achieving its 2018 Recycling Goal

Annually, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners establishes recycling goals for each municipality.  In 2018, Ramsey's recycling goal was 2,696 tons (based on 210 pounds per person for single family households and 160 pounds per person for multi-unit households).  Residents of Ramsey ultimately recycled approximately 2,934 tons of material, easily surpassing the established goal.  This was accomplished via the curbside recycling program, recycling events (spring, summer, and fall), the organics drop-off program, parks recycling, and opportunities in December and January to recycle holiday lights and extra cardboard.  Anoka County Recycling and Resource Solutions Staff, along with County Commissioner Matt Look, will be in attendance to present the City Council and the residents of Ramsey with a certificate of accomplishment for meeting the 2018 recycling goal.
