Title:
Discuss EPB's 2011-2012 Work Plan and its Relation to the City's Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances
Background:
The Environmental Policy Board's 2011-2012 City Council approved work plan includes researching and reviewing green building principles and low impact development practices that could be encouraged or incentivized within The COR. It is likely that at least some of these concepts/practices may be incorporated into the zoning standards of City Code, subject to a public hearing with the Planning Commission. Thus, Staff thought it would be beneficial to bring both boards together to discuss and brainstorm various green principles, low impact development practices, and strategies and ways to entice developers to consider implementing these concepts as opposed to making them a requirement.
