Discuss Ordinance Modernizing and Streamlining Land Use Applications
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this discussion item is to discuss opportunities to streamline certain land use applications. No action is being requested at this time, but the Planning Commission is asked to provide broad policy discussion to direct Staff to prepare/not prepare general policy framework and/or a draft ordinance at a future date.

- Planning Commission and City Council retain approval for multifamily housing development and projects within The COR
- Delegate Conditional Use Permit Approval to Planning Commission
- Reduce timeframe by 2 weeks
- Reduce cost to Applicant
- Interim Use Permits to continue to be approved by City Council

- Move Regular Planning Commission Meetings to First Monday of Month
- This would reduce review timeframe by 2 weeks by aligning with Council's Agenda Schedule
