Title:
Review Draft EPB Work Plan
Purpose/Background:
In April, the Environmental Policy Board (EPB) began discussing its next work plan. General consensus was reached to add various topics to a draft work plan, which could then be reviewed at the May EPB meeting. A draft Work Plan is attached. As a reminder, the City Council will be conducting their strategic planning this month and once that is complete, cross referencing the EPB's draft Work Plan with the City Council's Strategic Plan will be necessary to ensure there is no conflicts and/or omissions.
Observations/Alternatives:
Staff attempted to compile the various talking points from the April meeting into a draft Work Plan format. As was noted last month, this draft Work Plan can still be modified as desired by the EPB, including adding and/or removing various items as well as amending any of the Key Indicators and Outcomes.
Please note that as drafted, this Work Plan would span the remainder of 2021 and 2022. This is a fairly aggressive Work Plan as drafted. At the very least, it is strongly recommended that the items be prioritized, so that the most pressing components are addressed first.

Funding Source:
This case is being handled as part of Staff's regular duties.
Action:
Based on discussion. No formal action is needed currently as that should not occur prior to City Council completing their strategic planning efforts.
