Request for Street light at 15500 Roanoke St  (Bear Park)

Purpose:
Address request from resident to add a street light at the Bear Park parking area for added security.

Background:
The resident that requested the street light frequently reports finding and disposing of trash left on their properties from illicit substance abuse, dirty contraceptives,and, time and time again, waiting for the park to recover from yet another motorized vehicle vandalizing it.  Staff checked with Ramsey PD and there were two instances on record in the last three years.  One for someone driving their snowmobile in the park and the other was for driving their vehicle on to the grass and spinning circles.

Staff reports that street lights are infrequent in the area.  The nearest street light to the park is at the intersection of Alpine Dr/Roanoke St. Initial cost to install the new light would be $ 4,893.00, with an ongoing monthly maintenance and energy cost of $6.76
