Title
Adopt Ordinance #21-14 Amending Chapter 105 and 117 Regarding Swimming Pool and Related Building Code Standards
Purpose/Background:
Ordinance #21-14 amends Section 105-55 to add accessory uses and buildings, while eliminating reference to the same standards in Section 117-349. The Ramsey City Code revision contains swimming pool and related Building Code standards in the Building and Building Regulations Chapter.
Notification:
The City provided notification to the City's Official Newspaper, the Anoka County Union-Herald.
Observations/Alternatives:
Ramsey City Staff is aware that two sections of City Code addressed swimming pool and related Building Code standards. City Staff is recommending that Section 105-55 be amended to join the sections and Section 117-349 eliminate the swimming pool and related Building Code standards. This does not change any existing codes, but instead moves two separate code sections into one section as a means of eliminating unnecessary codes and making our City Code more efficient and easy to use.
Recommendation:
The City Council introduced Ordinance #21-14 on June 22, 2021, and recommends adoption at this time.
