Consider Hiring Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers
 

The purpose of this case is to seek City Council approval to hire Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers for the Public Works Department.

The process to fill these positions includes an open competitive recruitment, interviews, background checks, pre-employment testing, City Council approval to hire and on-boarding. As a result, staff selected six candidates to work as Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers.
 

The funding required to fill the Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers is included in the 2021 / 2022 budget.

Staff recommends hiring the following returning Temporary On-call Snow Plow Drivers:  Mr. Keith Noreen at $15.00 per hour, Mr. Thomas Pagel at $14.50 per hour; Mr. Thomas Hoxter at $13.50 per hour; Mr. John Dickes at $13.50 per hour; Mr. Bruce Anderson at $13.50 per hour and new Temporary On-call Snow Plow Driver: Mr. Gunnar Ledin at $13.00 per hour, effective on or near October 27, 2021.
