Adopt Resolution #22-006 Terminating Electrical Inspection Services Agreement with Tokle Inspections, Inc.

The City is currently entered into an agreement with Tokle Inspections, Inc. for the purpose of providing professional electrical inspection services.  Mr. Tokle has indicated he is reducing the number of agreements he holds, and has submitted a written notice of termination.  Furthermore, Mr. Tokle has requested a waiver of the 45-day written notice of termination in accordance with the agreement.

In terminating the agreement with Tokle Inspections, Inc., the City is in need of entering into a new electrical inspection services agreement.

Mr. Tokle has on occasion worked with Andrew Sloth, Sloth Inspections, Inc., to provide inspections services under the purview of Tokle Inspections, Inc. in the City of his behalf.  Mr. Sloth, being familiar with the City, has submitted a agreement for consideration by the Council to provide professional electrical inspection services.  An agreement with Sloth Inspections, Inc. is outlined in Resolution #22-007.

The proposed transition date is February 1, 2022.  Tokle Inspections, Inc. would remain responsible for all permits submitted through January 31, 2022, and Sloth Inspections, Inc. would become responsible for permits submitted February 1, 2022 and thereafter.

Staff recommends approval to terminate the agreement held with Tokle Inspections, Inc.
