Happy Days: Appreciation
Background:
The 2011 City of Ramsey Happy Days event was a huge success!
The first ever Friday Family Fun Night included the Northgate Church kid’s inflatables, several bon fires, DJ music, food, and fireworks. Saturday included the Connexus Energy 5k run, the craft fair/business expo, the Ramsey Foundation pancake breakfast, the classic car show, the Northgate Church kid’s inflatables, a 50-float parade, and music by Northgate Church. The night concluded with the very popular Johnny Holm Band. The family bike tour took place on Sunday; and, despite the weather conditions, nearly 100 bicyclists participated.

Observations:
Happy Days would not have been possible without the guidance and volunteer efforts of the Happy Days Committee members (Rick Chubb-President, Pam Buley, Annah Reid, Ed Emerson, Julie Hammel, Ann Holland, Jodell Kruse, Howard Johnson, Torrey Johnson).
The City of Ramsey’s Public Works Department, Police Department, Police Reserves, Fire Department, and volunteering efforts of various staff members (Aaron Backman, Cindy Nelson, Kathy Schmitz and her family) all played a key role in the success of Happy Days. The City of Ramsey would like to recognize Mike Berge, Tim Frankfurth and Matt Kohner for leading and coordinating their respective departments.
The Happy Days committee, along with the City of Ramsey, would like to thank this years sponsors for their generous support--without sponsors there would be no Happy Days.
