Title:
Continued Review of Proposed 2023 Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges
Purpose/Background:
Annually, the city adopts a Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges. The schedule is adopted by ordinance, with adoption occurring in November to have the rates in effect by January 1st of the new year.
The proposed schedule was presented at the worksession of October 25, 2022 and staff was directed to bring back to next worksession for further discussion.
With the proposed construction of a water treatment plant, and its effect on the utility rates (water & sewer), staff is proposing to look at water and sewer rates in 2023 after construction bids have been received. First quarter 2023 utility bills are not mailed to residents until April 25, 2023.
