Title:
Declare the Results of the November 8, 2022 General Election
Purpose/Background:
Purpose: The purpose of this case is to accept and declare the results of the City's General Election.
Background: As per State Statutes, the City Council must serve as a Canvassing Board to accept and declare the results of a local election. The General Election was held on Tuesday, November 8, and the City's nine polling places were open for voting from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Residents also had the opportunity to vote absentee if they chose, either at Ramsey City Hall, at Anoka County Elections Department, or by mail.
The canvassing documents from Anoka County are attached. If you desire any additional information, please contact staff. The General Election local seats included At-Large Council, Ward 1 and Ward 3 Council.
