Title:
2023 Legislative Priorities
Purpose/Background:
On December 13, 2022 Council held the first discussion on the 2023 Legislative Priorities. Attached is a draft document identifying those priorities. Senator Bahr and Representative Niska have been invited to this evening's Work Session to review these priorities with the Council
At the last meeting, Council expressed interest in identifying the Closed Landfill, Northstar Rail and State Divisions within the 2023 priorities. Since that meeting, staff has reviewed the items and are recommending no formal language is presented to legislatures at this time. Work is being done at the staff level and in the coming year more information will likely become available to better address legislative needs in the future.
