Annual Public Works Department Updates

The Public Works Department consists of three divisions; Parks, Streets and Utilities.

Parks - The City has approximately 500 acres of municipal parkland containing 25 municipal parks, 17 of which have playgrounds, and 2 regional parks with varying amenities.  The City also has approximately 75 miles of trails, 30 miles of sidewalks, and 7 boardwalks.  These amenities cumulatively create a comprehensive system with many diverse opportunities to recreate and enjoy the natural environment. 

Streets - The City of Ramsey owns, operates and maintains over 185 miles of paved streets and 4 miles of gravel roads.

Utilities - The City of Ramsey owns, operates and maintains municipal utility systems, including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and water supply.

The Public Works Department is responsible for operating and maintaining all of these systems.

Public Works Department staff will present high-level updates on primary activities and operations from June 2022 through May 2023.
