Discussion on hiring additional Community Service Officers in the Police Department
Purpose/Background:
Chief Katers will present information about the recent challenges of hiring licensed police officers and how the Community Service Officers (CSO) program aids in developing potential future candidates for police officer positions. The hiring of two part-time CSOs is included in the 2024 budget request.
