Title
Approve HIDTA Fiscal Agent Agreement
Purpose/Background:
In 2017, the Ramsey Police Department became a member of the Anoka Hennepin Narcotic and Violent Crimes Task Force (AHNVCT). During our time with the AHNVCT, we have been operating under the parameters of the attached fiscal agreement. Since joining the North Central High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), we are required to have a signed joint powers agreement. This agreement is to cover how investigators are funded to pay overtime and how HIDTA reimburses those expenses. The agreement is attached for review.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends approval of the HIDTA Fiscal Agent Agreement.
Action:
Approval of the agreement will require signatures from Mayor Mark E. Kuzma, City Administrator Brian Hagen, and Police Chief Jeff Katers.
