Title:
City of Ramsey 50th Anniversary
Purpose/Background:
The City of Ramsey was incorporated in 1974, making the city fifty (50) years old in 2024. It has been asked if the city is going to celebrate the milestone anniversary in any capacity. During the 2024 preliminary budget process, staff did not propose any additional funding to cover such an event due to other financial needs. However, there may be partnership opportunities with other civic organizations in the community or private donations the city may want to consider.
Staff has not formally discussed options to recognize the milestone anniversary, but we are open to direction by the City Council.
