Title
Approve Professional Services Agreement with LOGIS to Construct a Fiber Connection Between City Facilities.
Purpose/Background:
Approve the installation of a fiber optic network to connect the Impound / storage facility to the new Public Works building. The cost estimate includes materials (including switches), labor and splicing needed to complete this connection. This fiber line is needed to connect to existing city infrastructure, and allow for off-site CCTV monitoring and door access control.
LOGIS will do a competitive bid process for the project.
Materials $8,232.00
Labor $22,207.50
CCTV Cameras / Door controls $8,774.36
Total $39,213.86

Recommendation:
Police Department and IT staff reviewed project and recommend council approve it.
Action:
Authorize LOGIS to start bid process for fiber project connecting existing City of Ramsey buildings.
