Title
Adopt Resolution #23-313 Approving ProjectDox Renewal Quote
Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this case is to approve the renewal quote for the ProjectDox software utilized for electronic plan review by city staff. ProjectDox was originally implemented in 2017 under a 5-year agreement and was renewed in February 2022.
In late 2022, staff began to research different electronic plan software, as the current software (PIMS/ProjectDox) is not meeting the needs for plan review. The new software, known as Accela, will be customized for the needs of individual departments and divisions. It is scheduled to be operational in January 2024; however, it will take additional time to complete the full build out of the software, customize the software for individual department needs, and conduct proper training. Because of the new software, ProjectDox renewal quote is for a term period of 6 months with the option, if needed, to extend it longer. Staff is confident that 6 months will be ample time to get the new Accela software up and running and fully functional.

Protective Inspections Operating Budget (Building Division).
