Title
Adopt Resolution #24-079 Accepting Cash Donation for the City of Ramsey's 50th Anniversary Banners.
Purpose/Background:
Ramsey Township was incorporated as a City in 1974, making 2024 its 50th anniversary as a municipality. In recognition, a partnership between the Ramsey Community Foundation and the City of Ramsey has developed to display banners to celebrate this important milestone. The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution #24-079, accepting a cash donation from the Foundation to fund the aforementioned banners.
Observations/Alternatives:
The attached Resolution provides additional information on this subject; with the second attachment demonstrating sample banner graphics—and potential placement locations within the city.
Funding Source:
MN State Statute 465.03 requires that a city pass a resolution to accept donations or grants—adopting Resolution #24-079 will provide $2,000 for funding anniversary banners.
