Title:
Adopt Ordinance #24-07: Rezoning property at the southeast corner of Sunwood Drive and Ramsey Parkway from COR-4b to COR-4c (Norhart Ramsey)
Purpose/Background:
On May 14, 2024, the City Council introduced Ordinance #24-07 to rezone the Subject Property from COR-4b to COR-4c to accommodate 218 apartment-style residential units and 5,000 square feet of retail on it. That same evening, the City Council approved the Site Plan (subject to the rezoning) for Norhart Ramsey, located at 7975 and 7979 Sunwood Drive (the "Subject Property"), proposed by Norhart (the "Applicant"). The purpose of this case is to formally adopt Ordinance #24-07, rezoning the property from COR-4b to COR-4c.
At the May 14, 2024 City Council meeting, a change order was approved related to infrastructure installation near this development. Council desired the developer pay for the change order given the changes are to the benefit of the development. Staff is discussing this with the developer and will update the City Council on the developer's willingness to pay for the change order costs at the meeting.
