Title:
Adopt Resolution #24-241 Approving 2025 Clean Water Fund Competitive Grant Application for Street Sweeper
Purpose/Background:
The City plans to replace its 2016 street sweeper with a 2025 model as identified in Project #PW-691A of the adopted 2024 through 2033 Capital Improvement Program.
State fiscal year 2025 Clean Water Fund competitive grants are available to pay for up to 90-percent of the replacement cost of this equipment.
The 2025 Clean Water Fund competitive grant applications were due August 22, 2024. Staff submitted a grant application on behalf of the City requesting a grant award in the amount of $295,000 and is now requesting Council approval of the grant application after-the-fact.

Funding Source:
There was no cost to apply for the grant. If grant funds are awarded, the remaining 10-percent of the purchase price for the sweeper will need to be paid through the storm water utility fund.

Staff recommends adopting Resolution #24-241 approving the 2025 Clean Water Fund competitive grant application submitted for the 2025 Street Sweeper.
