Title:
Adopt Resolution #25-112 Authorizing Payment for Sunwood Drive Decorative Lighting Power Supply Improvements
Purpose/Background:
Purpose:
Adopt Resolution #25-112 authorizing payment for Sunwood Drive decorative lighting power supply improvements.
Background:
Sauter and Sons, the grading contractor for the Skyline Apartments development, provided a proposal to the city to install 885-feet of 2-inch HDPE conduit with #10 AWG wiring along the north side of Sunwood Drive from the end of the existing power supply north of Sunwood Drive near the commercial driveway between Sapphire and Rhinestone Streets, terminating near the three (3) pine trees west of Center Street. This installation would be accomplished by directional drilling to avoid impacts to boulevards, street lights, curb and gutter, sidewalk and pavement.
This work would allow for future decorative lighting along the north side of Sunwood Drive across from City Hall to match the south side. It would also provide direct power supply to light the three pine trees west of Center Street without the need to run long extension cords from the pumphouse at the intersection of Center Street and 145th Avenue NW.
Staff is unable to perform this work in-house and requested the attached proposal.
