Renew Agreement for Broadband Connectivity through Connect Anoka County

The City of Ramsey has been a part of the Connect Anoka County agreement since its implementation back around 2011. The agreement brought high-speed fiber to four buildings and saved the City money by switching away from a private provider  As part of the agreement, the City received updated fiber switches at each location at two different times during the agreement timeline. 

The new amendment (attached) would allow the City to continue receiving service for another 5-year term through August 16th, 2030 along with new service rates. New pricing rates are on page 3 of the Amendment. The agreement also lists up to 3 more 5-year optional renewals as well.

Staff recommends approving the Amendment and continue using the County fiber services.
