Water Play Development at The Waterfront - Progress Report

As the Commission is fully aware, the planning and process for developing the eastern portion of The Waterfront is well underway, with the goal of having the water play amenity and adjoining grounds substantially complete and open to the public July 1st, 2026.

The Commission can expect progress reports most months leading up to approval of the Plans and Specifications, and competitive bidding later this coming Winter, for Spring construction. There are no attachments as of the time of publication of this agenda, but there may be schematic design renderings or perspective views added to this case the week of the Commission's regular meeting, which, weather permitting, will be held at the site of the park development this case discusses.

Additonal information will be presented for the meeting.

All funding for the water play area of The Waterfront would be from the Park Trust Fund.

Staff will provide a recommendation at the meeting, for any items that may need Commission action.
