Title:
Adopt Resolution #25-231 Accepting Quotes and Awarding Contract for Waterfront Water-Play Park Utility Improvements, Improvement Project #25-61
Purpose/Background:
Purpose:
The purpose of this case is to adopt Resolution #25-231 Accepting Quotes and Awarding Contract for Waterfront Water-Play Park Utility Improvements, Improvement Project #25-61.
Background:
In June, the City Council approved engaging with Damon Farber to facilitate development of plans and a process to meet the goal of having water-play improvements in The Waterfront Park operational and open to the public in July of 2026.
Municipal sewer and water improvements are necessary to serve the proposed Waterfront water-play park improvements, which are currently under design. The construction plan for the Waterfront water-play park utility improvements is attached.
On August 12th, the City Council acknowledged by consensus that quotes for the Waterfront water-play park utility improvements would be presented in a subsequent consent agenda case to request formal City Council approval.
Staff solicited quotes from five (5) local contractors known to complete such work using the attached RFP and three (3) quotes were received and opened on September 17th as follows;
The lowest responsible quote in the amount of $147,880.38 was received from Dave Perkins Contracting.
